Here is the situation I am in. There are a total of 6 active users that work in my onsite server and use as a VM, through an RDP 10 license user. 4 users have great experience and 0 issues when using the VM when jumping in. However, 2 of the users are experiencing an issue that i can't make sense of. In order to get started with Microsoft Remote Desktop, visit the Mac App Store. Click the blue “App Store” icon in your dock. Once the app opens, you will see a search bar at the top right corner of the screen. Search with the keywords “Microsoft Remote Desktop” or “remote desktop Mac” to search and download the app for free.

Most IT departments knows how to fix this; for Windows. This involves deleting registry keys, but you don't have them on a Mac. Instead, you need to clear out some cache files on the file system by performing the following steps:

- Open Terminal
- Enter (or copy and paste this) cd ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.rdc.mac/Data/Library/Application Support/Microsoft Remote Desktop/
- List the directory using the li command. You should now see all folders.
- Delete all folders except for logs and printerconfig. Do this by copying each folder name (in a GUID format) and using the following delete command:
rm -r -f [directoryname]
For example:
rm -r -f {b58e9e06-2ea5-4ed6-944c-d52dd8cf58fb}
